Our Mission

To eliminate all harmful practices affecting the rights, dignity, and well-being of citizens—especially women and girls—across Liberia, with a strong focus on ending Female Genital Mutilation and Cutting (FGM/C). We pursue this through sustained advocacy, inclusive dialogue, community engagement, public awareness and media outreach, continuous monitoring, and citizen-driven social accountability.

A Liberia free from all harmful and discriminatory practices, where every individual—particularly women and girls—enjoys safety, equality, and respect, and where zero tolerance for violence and harmful traditional practices is a shared national value.

Eliminate Harmful Practices

Reduce and ultimately eradicate Female Genital Mutilation and Cutting (FGM/C) and other harmful traditional practices across Liberia.

Strengthen the rights, leadership, voice, and protection of women and girls in affected communities.

Promote Social Accountability

Ensure communities, leaders, and institutions are held accountable for protecting citizens from violence, harmful practices, and discrimination.

Raise Public Awareness

Increase knowledge, change social norms, and influence public attitudes through education, advocacy, and media outreach.

Build Strong Partnerships

Collaborate with traditional leaders, government institutions, civil society organizations, and youth groups to promote safe, rights-respecting communities.

Monitor & Report Violations

Establish mechanisms for reporting, tracking, and responding to harmful practices and human rights abuses affecting women and girls.

Safe reporting, medical care, counseling, and long-term support for girls who have experienced FGM/C.
